Introducing: Mr. Martino!!!!!!!!

He has been here since 1982 and teaches Spanish and Italian to the wonderful students of Canoga. . .

Who is Mr. Martino?
  • He currently teaches Spanish I and III and Italian I and II. He has previously taught ESL, History, and German. He has been teaching for twenty-seven years.
What schools did Mr. Martino go to?
  • He attended Granada Hills High School, and played the trombone in the marching band. During his high school years he was able to play in the Rose Parade in 1967!
• He then attended CSUN and majored in German with a minor in History and Spanish.
What other jobs has Mr. Martino had?
• He was a bartender at his in-laws German restaurant.
• He was a test driver for General Motors.
• He began teaching at Reseda High School in 1976, and taught German and Spanish.
• He then transferred to Milliken Middle School in Sherman Oaks and taught ESL.
• After that, he went to Germany to teach American soldiers the German language and help them complete high school.
• Then, he went to Spain and taught English.
• He came back to the U. S. and taught at Chatsworth High School for one year before transferring to Canoga in 1982.
What does Mr. Martino do in her spare time??
• He likes to garden and grow fruits and vegetables.
• He likes to hike and go to the gym.
• He likes to spend time with his family.
What you might not know about Mr. Martino ???
• His favorite color is blue.
• His favorite holiday is Christmas because everyone celebrates it for so long.
• He has been married for 31 years.
• He comes from San Fernando, and he is not a native Spanish speaker. He just learned the language and encourages all his students to do the same.
